Zoom (NL) is a short play for a dancer, miniature scenography over her body, portable video camera and an off-stage voice with sounds that recreate the different landscapes.
The piece consists of a monologue which is interwoven with voices, sounds of nature and landscapes projections filmed live. The body of the performer is covered with miniature landscapes. The text tells the audience about the lives of the people who live there, their stories. The actress focuses the camera in the miniature scenes on her body. The sounds involved will help to recreate the sensory landscape. Each story/scenario corresponds to the small world of a character but at the same time, some stories are intertwined. All stories can be framed within a common axis: proximity-distance (between people, between cities, between life and death, etc).
In The Netherlands, the piece was presented by Stichting Creëren as part of the project “The body as the territory of our stories” was supported by Gemeente Den Haag, Fonds 1818, Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds and CultuurSchakel.
